Today was one of my favourite shoots to date. It's always more difficult when your family and friends request a session, there is more pressure to be at your absolute best and you are desperate to capture the true essence of the family and ensure they will fall in love with your photos. When Rachel and Tanuj asked me to do a session for their family, I was excited and nervous in equal measure!
Due to the persistent rain in June and July, we had waited for a sunny day to get out an about and capture some relaxed, honest moments. The chose Winchester Cathedral as their back drop and we enjoyed a walk around by the river, finishing in Abbey Gardens. It was great fun, they really got into the spirit of the shoot and Riaan was so well behaved and full of smiles. I love the photographs of him peeking round the cathedral door, he was a real joy to work with.
A great way to spend an hour with a lovely family. Getting out and about and shooting in natural light was a real pleasure and it was fun to explore the city when it was busy and work around the general public. Looking forward to lots more similar shoots soon!
